Perth radio ratings: Nova remains overall market leader, ABC struggles across all shares

Nova has retained the crown in overall, breakfast and drive share in Perth’s second radio survey of the yearagain, while Mix 94.5 followed in second place.

Nova dominated with a 17.2% share, an increase of 0.2 percentage points. However, its closest competitor, Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix closed the gap with a 1.9 percentage point increase, bringing its share to 13.1%, up from 11.2% last book.

Nova’s trio of Nathan, Nat and Shaun remained on top of breakfast with 17.5%, despite a 1.1 percentage point loss.

The battle for second in the slot continues between Mix 94.5′ Pete, Matt and Kymba and 96FM’s Clairsy & Lisa, with the former landing on 12.2% and the later on 12.1%.

Triple J breakfast fell by 1.6 percentage points to 4.9% – the largest downfall in the slot, while ABC Perth also fell, by 1.5 to a 6.1% share.

In drive, Nova had a strong lead at 18.3%, having had a 1.5 percentage point increase, while 96FM’s Will & Woody sit in second, at 13%, suffering from a 1.3 point decrease.

Mix 94.5’s Carrie & Tommy sit closely behind at 12.7%, closing the gap with a 2.2 percentage point rise.

Gfk survey two for 2023 ran from 5 February to 25 February and 26 February to 1 April.
